Angioplasty at Waikato Hospital 1990

When the Trust supported the development of Cardiac Surgery it was understood that a key spin-off would be the development of coronary angioplasty. Coronary angioplasty is now performed at Waikato Hospital on a daily basis on patients from around the region. Since 1990 thirteen thousand patients from throughout the region have undergone coronary angioplasty.
