Leave a Bequest
Leaving something to The Heart Trust in your will is a great way to continue to make a difference to Heart care, even after you have passed.
Making a will is a critical part of tidying up your affairs. Irrespective of whether you wish to leave The Heart Trust something or not, we recommend you take professional advice about making a will. This can be obtained from your lawyer or the Public Trust. It is also important that your family, and those who may expect to benefit from your will, know your intentions and understand that this is important to you.
Wills are legal documents and accuracy is important. If you decide to make a bequest to The Heart Trust, then including the following information about The Heart Trust in your will is necessary:
Name: The Heart Trust
Address: 14 Horne Street, Hamilton 3204
NZ Charities Registration Number: CC24597
You can leave a fixed amount or a share (%) of your estate.
As the medical field is constantly changing, it is best not to specify a specific purpose for a bequest other than “for the general purposes of the trust”, as circumstances may have changed between writing your will and the bequest coming to fruition.
If you do decide to leave us a bequest, please let us know you have done so.
