Medical advancements are rapid, much faster than public funding can keep up with. The Heart Trust works with Waikato Hospital by providing seed funding for these advancements. Often the Trust funds the first generation before public funding kicks in, providing world-class cardiac care sooner to our community.

The presence of modern technology helps Waikato Hospital recruit specialists trained in the most up-to-date techniques.
For 49 years The Heart Trust has provided funding for modern cardiac technology at Waikato Hospital, so that patients can get access to top class care.
Spurred on by the Trust's efforts, subsequent generations of this technology are provided by the Government.
