Achievements

The Heart Trust funded the purchase of portable Heart Rhythm Monitors in 1970 helping cardiologists better detect and record irregularities in patient’s hearts. Funding of the equipment enabled the establishment of monitoring services across the region. Second and third generations of this life-saving equipment have subsequently been purchased by hospitals in the region. In June 2014 the Trust agreed to fund two monitors for Te Kuiti Hospital.
