Few sporting fixtures have ever come close to replicating the gladiatorial intensity of boxing's famed 1974 Rumble in the Jungle.
On a sultry night in front of 60,000 fans, challenger and underdog Muhammad Ali defeated the much younger champion, George Foreman.
While not on the same scale, rowing fans had their own contest to savour when, in January 2008, rowers Rob Waddell and Mahe Drysdale went head-to-head on the water at Lake Karapiro. Read more...
