Taupo
Taupo is the smaller of two hospitals serving Taupo and the smaller community of Turangi. Heart patients travel to Waikato Hospital for all major cardiac procedures, treatments and surgery.
Some 500 patients from Lakes District gain access to world class treatment from Waikato's cardiac unit each year. The Heart Trust helped establish cardiac surgery, angioplasty and electrophysiology at Waikato Hospital.
